Pricing Policy

This policy explains how prices work on the Courier Saathi platform (couriersaathi.com and the Courier Saathi app), operated by City Express. It forms part of our Terms & Conditions. All prices are in Indian Rupees (INR).

1. What We Charge For

Courier Saathi is a shipping aggregator. You pay for the shipping service you book. Registering an account and checking rates is free. The charge for each shipment is shown to you before you confirm the booking.

2. How a Shipping Charge Is Calculated

The charge for a shipment depends on:

• Courier partner and service you choose (for example Delhivery, Ekart, XpressBees, Shadowfax, Blue Dart, DTDC).
• Pickup and delivery pincodes, which decide the delivery zone.
• Chargeable weight, which is the higher of the actual weight and the volumetric weight (length × width × height ÷ the courier partner's volumetric divisor). Charges are applied per weight slab of the courier partner.
• Payment mode: prepaid or Cash on Delivery (COD).
• Surcharges that apply to the service, for example fuel surcharge, and any special handling the courier requires.
• Your membership plan or any custom rate card agreed with you (see section 6).

3. GST

Shipping charges, COD fees and membership fees are subject to GST at 18% as applicable. The booking screen shows the amount including GST, and a GST invoice is available in your account.

4. Cash on Delivery (COD) Charges

For COD shipments a COD handling fee is added to the freight charge. The fee is shown in the rate before you book. The COD amount collected from your customer, minus the shipping and COD charges due, is remitted to you as described in our Terms & Conditions. COD remittances are shown shipment by shipment in your account with the payment date and bank reference (UTR).

5. Return (RTO) Charges

If a shipment is returned to origin (RTO) because the consignee refused it, could not be reached, or for a similar reason, a return charge applies at the courier partner's rate for that shipment. The return charge is shown in your rate card or booking details.

6. Membership Plans

Plans lower your per-shipment shipping charge as your volume grows. The monthly plan fee is charged from your wallet when you activate the plan.

Plan fees and the discount on shipping rates are shown in the Plans section of your account at the time you activate a plan. You can move to the free Bronze plan at any time; the plan discount stops from that moment.

7. Prepaid Wallet

Shipping is paid from your Courier Saathi wallet. You add money to the wallet by online payment, and the charge for a shipment is deducted when the shipment (AWB) is generated. If the balance is too low, the booking will not go through until you recharge. Refunds and credits to the wallet are explained in our Refund & Cancellation Policy.

8. Weight Adjustments

The courier partner weighs and measures every shipment. If the weight or dimensions they record are higher than you declared, the extra charge is applied to your wallet; if lower, the difference is credited to you. You may dispute an adjustment with photos or video from the Weight Reconciliation section within the window shown against it.

9. Custom Rate Cards

Businesses with higher volumes may be given a custom rate card. If you have one, it replaces the standard rates for the lanes and couriers it covers, and it is visible in your account under My Rate Card.

10. Changes to Prices

Courier partners revise their rates from time to time, and we may revise our pricing and plans in turn. A change applies only to shipments booked after the change; a shipment already booked is charged at the amount shown when you booked it. We show the current charge on every booking screen, so you always see the price before you pay.

11. No Hidden Charges

The charges on your shipment are limited to those listed in this policy: shipping (freight) charge, applicable surcharges, COD fee for COD shipments, RTO charges where a shipment is returned, weight adjustments, membership fee if you choose a paid plan, and GST on these.

12. Questions About a Charge

If you think a charge is wrong, contact us with the AWB number and your registered mobile number. We acknowledge requests within 48 hours.
