How to Connect Shopify or WooCommerce to Courier Saathi
Once connected, every new order placed on your store shows up automatically in Courier Saathi's All Orders as Pending — no manual copy-pasting. Pick the platform you use below.
WooCommerce Setting up WooCommerce
- Log in to your WordPress admin dashboard (usually
yourstore.com/wp-admin) - Go to WooCommerce › Settings › Advanced › REST API
- Click Add key
- Under Description, type
Courier Saathi. Under Permissions, choose Read/Write - Click Generate API key
- WooCommerce will show a Consumer key (starts with
ck_) and Consumer secret (starts withcs_) — copy both now, the secret is only shown once - In Courier Saathi, go to Shopify / WooCommerce › Connect WooCommerce, paste your store URL and both keys, then click Connect
That's it — Courier Saathi automatically sets up the order notification on your WooCommerce store. Nothing further to configure on the WordPress side.
Shopify Setting up Shopify
- Log in to your Shopify admin
- Go to Settings › Apps and sales channels › Develop apps
- If this is your first custom app, click Allow custom app development and confirm
- Click Create an app, name it
Courier Saathi - Open the Configuration tab, then Admin API integration › Configure
- Under Admin API access scopes, search for and enable read_orders and read_customers, then click Save
- Go to the API credentials tab and click Install app (confirm when prompted)
- Copy the Admin API access token (starts with
shpat_— shown once, copy immediately) and the API secret key shown further down the page - In Courier Saathi, go to Shopify / WooCommerce › Connect Shopify, paste your store domain (e.g.
mystore.myshopify.com), the access token, and the API secret, then click Connect
Courier Saathi automatically registers the order notification with your Shopify store during this step — nothing further to configure in Shopify.
What gets imported, and what doesn't
| Field | Imported automatically |
|---|---|
| Customer name, phone, address, pincode | Yes |
| Product name, order value | Yes |
| Payment mode (Prepaid / COD) | Yes |
| Package weight & dimensions | No — neither platform sends this on an order. Defaults to 0.5kg / 10×10×10cm; update before shipping. |
After an order is imported
- Open All Orders in Courier Saathi — your new order appears there within seconds of the sale, marked Pending
- Update the weight/dimensions if the defaults don't match your actual package
- Ship it individually, or select several imported orders and use Bulk Ship
Frequently asked questions
Will old orders (placed before I connected) be imported?
No — only orders placed after the connection is set up. For older orders, use the regular Bulk Shipment (CSV/Excel) import instead.
Can I connect more than one store?
Yes — you can connect multiple WooCommerce and/or Shopify stores to the same Courier Saathi account, each showing separately in your integrations list.
Is my API key/token stored securely?
Yes. Credentials are stored securely on our servers and are never displayed back to you (or anyone) after the initial connection — the same principle used for Courier Saathi's own API keys.
What if I revoke the access token on Shopify/WooCommerce's side?
New orders will stop importing and the integration will show an "Error" status in Courier Saathi. Reconnect with a fresh key/token to resume.
Can I pause imports temporarily without disconnecting?
Yes — toggle "Auto-Import New Orders" off on the integration in Courier Saathi. Your connection stays saved; just flip it back on when ready.
